Four hands-on herbal medicine classes for women. Come to one, or come to all four.
Women’s Wellness Workshop Series
These workshops bring herbal medicine education to women in a way that is practical from the first class. No prior knowledge of herbs or natural health is needed. Each class pairs a clear explanation of how the body works with hands-on time with the plants, tasting and smelling the herbs we talk about. You take home a printed handout, and a way of thinking about herbs that you can use long after the class.
Each workshop stands on its own. Take them in any order, or take the whole series. Classes run 90 minutes and are held in person.
Led by Natalie Pepin, an Indigenous Herbalist and homeopath.

Roots of Change: Herbal Support for Perimenopause
Perimenopause is often described as simple oestrogen decline. The reality is more complex, and more interesting. Learn why oestrogen fluctuates, how progesterone and cortisol are involved, and why symptoms reach so many parts of the body, from sleep and mood to cycles and skin. We taste and smell herbs matched to the symptom picture, and close with why a woman who runs hot and anxious needs different herbs than one who runs cold and depleted.
Best for: Women in perimenopause or approaching it, women with hormonal disruption from any cause, and anyone curious about herbal support for midlife.
$60 – 90 minutes. Printed handout included.

Roots Down: Herbal Support for Gut Health and Digestion
The gut does far more than digest. It shapes immunity, makes serotonin, and talks to the brain. Learn why a hot, reactive gut needs very different herbs than a cold, sluggish one, and leave with a practical herb set for bloating, reflux, constipation and gut-related anxiety. Includes the bitter reflex tasting with gentian, which most people remember long after the class.
Best for: Anyone with digestive complaints, including bloating, reflux, IBS and constipation, and anyone interested in the gut-brain connection.
$60 – 90 minutes. Printed handout included.

Frayed Roots: Herbal Support for Stress, Burnout and the Nervous System
Most stress workshops stop at breathing techniques. This one explains what chronic stress does to the nervous system, the stress hormones and the cell, and why you can rest and still not recover. Learn the difference between a wired picture and a depleted one, and which herbs help each, so what calms one person does not make another worse.
Best for: Anyone dealing with chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, disrupted sleep or emotional exhaustion, and anyone recovering after burnout.
$60 – 90 minutes. Printed handout included.

Roots Resilient: Herbal Support for Immune Health and Chronic Fatigue
This class is for the fatigue that does not improve with rest and the immunity that never seems to work properly. Learn the difference between a weak immune system and a dysregulated one, and a simple framework of stimulate, modulate and tonify that explains why elderberry at the first sign of a cold is different from elderberry every day for chronic fatigue. Pairs well with Frayed Roots.
Best for: People with recurrent infections, slow recovery, post-viral fatigue or chronic low-grade inflammation.
$60 – 90 minutes. Printed handout included.
How the series works
Come to one, or come to all. Every class stands alone, and no class is a prerequisite for another.
No experience needed. If you are new to herbs, you are in the right place.
Hands-on. You taste and smell the plants as we talk about them.
A shared thread. Every class ends with the same idea: the right herbs are the ones that fit your picture, not the ones listed under a condition. Frayed Roots and Roots Resilient overlap, so you will get the most from them together.
Your handout. Every participant takes home a printed reference handout.
Registration open. Classes begin November 22nd, 2026.
In person, 90 minutes per class. Classes run from 10:30 to noon at Prairie Soul Massage and Yoga in Athabasca.
Would you like to bring this series to your community, workplace or organization? Each workshop is available as a standalone class or as a full series. Get in touch to talk about booking. info@tworoots.ca
